The Rotating Flashing Beacon is probably considered the traditional type of warning beacon.

As the parabolic mirror revolves around the lamp, an intense beam of light is projected. This then provides a warning signal capable of cutting through smoke and dust laden atmospheres and can command attention even when someone is standing with their back to the beacon.

• Available in the standard voltages of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, 115Vac and 230Vac
• Non-standard voltages 24Vac and 50Vac available to order
• Continuously rated drive mechanism eliminates the nuisance of drive belt breakage
• 12V DC and 24V DC variants available with fitted tungsten halogen lamp

Xenon Strobe Visual Warning Signals

The Xenon Beacon, often referred to as a "Strobe", is the 'New-Technology' of visual warning beacons. The gas discharge method yields very high light output from minimal energy input.

Pulsed Filament Lamp Warning Signals

The Pulsed Filament Beacon Lamp derives its warning signal from repetitively flashing a filament lamp.

This is the only type of flashing beacon permitted to be used on ground vehicles at airports.

• Solid-state circuit for long operational life

Static Light Beacon Lamps contain no circuitary to pulse the lamp and are typically controlled by external equipment such as a PLC.

May be used as luminaires or slave units for use with our Pulsed Filament beacon Lamps.

• Continuously rated for permanent operation. 
• Most models also available with tungsten halogen (TH) lamp.

The majority of our Static LED Beacon Lamps have been consolidated into the Pulsed LED Beacon Lamps range.  On-board selection of Pulsed or Static operation is available giving the user maximum choice at time of installation.  See the full range of Pulsed LED Beacon Lamps HERE.

Static LED Beacon Lamps contain no additional circuitary to pulse and are typically controlled by external equipment such as a PLC.

• All units feature UV-stable polycarbonate dome lenses
• Minimal input current giving maximum light output and colour balance
• Continuously rated solid-state long life units removes need for constant lamp changing
• All ABS and Polycarbonate models feature 51mm fixing centres suitable for mounting directly onto a standard conduit box
